Some of Steve's clients and what they have to say:

Jack Bruce: A very fine bass player and a gentleman. "That's brilliant, thanks very much Steve" (JB, Nov 2007 upon completing repair and set up of his 1950's Czech double bass)

Tony Kofi: A fantastic Alto and Baritone player with several CD's to his credit. An active member of the Monk Liberation Front and an ex Jazz Warriors stalwart, Tony has his own trio as well as playing with the world saxophone quartet. Steve is the official repairer of Tony's saxophones. " Perfect" (TK, May 2006 upon completion of a service to his Buescher soprano)

Tommaso Starace: A brilliant young Italian saxophonist with two albums to his credit

" Steve has been my saxophone repairer and good friend for the past couple of years. I had my saxophone maintained by him just a few times since I first met him and that's because he sets it up so well that even when you play on a professional level and you gig extensively it lasts for a long time. He himself plays all the different saxophones ( as well as being a groovy bass player!) and therefore understands what are the best solutions in fixing the instrument from choosing the best quality material to setting it up so that it suits the individual's playing 100%.
Steve is a perfectionist by nature and won't allow you to leave his house until you are happy.
It's definetly worth travelling to his place if you are seriuos about your instrument!" (TS Nov 2006)

Darren Taylor: Bassist with The Courtney Pine Band.

Omar Puente: Virtuoso violinist and part time double bassist who also plays with Courtney Pine. A comment made after setting up Omar's double bass, "Fantastico buddy"(Feb 2009).

Byron Wallen: An excellent trumpeter and flautist who has been known to play the shells on occassion. A great composer and a major artist on the world jazz stage.

Kevin Flanagan: This guy has just completed a Phd in musical studies and has been on the jazz scene for a long time. A brilliant all round player.

Andy Harewood: Ex Jazz Warriors baritone player who now works from Trinidad." . . . that's fantastic buddy." (AH July 2005)

Steve Cook: First class bass player who played with Soft Machine for years.

Don Richardson: A great double bass player on the London show circuit. "I've had this bass since I was 14 and this is the best it has ever sounded. Fantastic job, thanks very much Steve."(Dec 2008)

Daf Lewis: Another id demand double bass player on the London circuit currently palying in Wicked. "Fantastic job Seve, I can't believe it is the same bass."(Dec 2008). "You're a bloody genius ..." (April 2009)

Brandon Allen: An Australian alto player with a passion for vintage horns. Very much in demand on the London jazz circuit.

Bernie Hodgkins: An extremely melodic and sensitive bassist who plays with many top artists. " Fantastic job Steve, thanks very much. The sustain seems to last forever." (BH October 2006)

Andy Doyle: A great bass player from Norfolk. In great demand both around Norwich and on the London circuit. " Steve, very pleased, excellent job. Many thanks." (AD, November 2006)
